Status: This award is being discontinued 31 December 2012 as part of an effort to combine several previous training/service awards. Individuals may continue to work toward this award until the discontinuation date; they may use all requirements, tenure and performance accomphishments toward the new Den Leader Training Award.

Description: Uniform emblem is composed of a gold (yellow) square knot on a yellow background.

The color yellow (gold) corresponds to the central color found on the WEBELOS Badge colors and the yellow ribbon of award medallion.

Application for WEBELOS Den Leader (Training) Award

Cub Scout Volunteer Training Award Certificate

Background: The WEBELOS Den Leader Award is earned by WEBELOS Den Leaders by completing one year of service as the registered WEBELOS Den Leader, completing the Cub Scout Basic training course including the WEBELOS Leader Outdoor session and attendance at a Pow-Wow, and the completion of five of ten performance projects. Assistant WEBELOS Den Leaders may complete all of the requirements but in order to earn the Award must serve as a registered WEBELOS Den Leader.
