background. The symbolism comes from the gold wreaths and red backgrounded emblems which Commissioners wear.

Commissioner Award of Excellence in Unit Service certificate
Background:The Commissioner Service Award of Excellence in Unit Service was developed as a nationwide effort to engage Scouting volunteers and professional Scouters to work together in focusing on unit retention. Any registered commissioner who is providing direct unit service is eligible to earn the Commissioner Award of Excellence in Unit Service.
This award is due to be consolidated with the two other Commissioner Awards to provide one or perhaps two "cloth recognitions" (square knot insignia) in 2015.
